Hello Folks, Momma here!
In honor of Father’s Day, Audrey and I are taking over the blog with a Strange Exchange that is all about Daddy! I compiled a list of questions (inspired by something I saw on Pinterest) and asked Audrey all about her Daddy. The results are sometimes true, sometimes projections of Audrey’s life onto Daddy, and sometimes downright hilarious.
Momma: What is Daddy’s Name?
Audrey: Kento. (correct! we are off to a great start!)
Momma: How old is Daddy?
Audrey: Two! (as you might have guessed, Audrey is two)
Momma: How tall is Daddy?
Audrey: (looks up at the ceiling and says in a deep voice) BIIIIIGGGG!
Momma: How big?
Audrey: (in the same deep voice) Big as the roooooom!
Momma: What does Daddy like to eat?
Audrey: Tuna. (I honestly have no idea where this came from because we’ve never eaten tuna and I doubt Kento talks about it in her presence)
Momma: What does Daddy like to drink?
Audrey: Water. (I was hoping for something funnier, like beer)
Momma: What is Daddy’s favorite fruit?
Audrey: Strawberries. (her favorite fruit – do you see a trend developing here?)
Momma: What is Daddy’s favorite animal?
Audrey: Cow! (yup, you guessed it, that’s her favorite animal)
Momma: What’s Daddy’s favorite book?
Audrey: Go Dog Go (does she know anything about anyone other than herself?)
Momma: What does Daddy love?
Audrey: Uncle Pete.
Now, I should probably have prefaced all of this this by saying that Daddy had gone to Uncle Pete’s house to watch hockey the night we did this, so there is some context here. But we do joke quite a bit about when Daddy and Uncle Pete lived together…
Momma: (laughing hysterically) What do Daddy and Uncle Pete do together?
Audrey: Talk. (whew! for a second there I thought she knew something I didn’t!)
Momma: What’s your favorite thing to do with Daddy?
Audrey: Buy groceries. (yup, that is pretty darn exciting)
Momma: How much do you love your Daddy?
Audrey: I love my Daddy…. I love Daddy…….. I….. (she sort of trails off)
Momma: A lot?
Audrey: A LOT!!!
So there you have it, folks.: all about Daddy according to Audrey, age 2.5. You probably learned more about Audrey than you did Daddy, but hey, it’s the thought that counts, right?
We love you Daddy! Happy Father’s Day!
Audrey, Momma, and as yet to be named baby boy.
